HOUSING PROVIDER (NATIONAL)
Clarion Group, driven by their commitment to delivering significant environmental and social impact, sought to create a comprehensive Nature Recovery Strategy. Their objective was clear: integrate nature recovery into all aspects of their operations. The journey began with a close collaboration with our team at The Green Partnership.
Our first step was to work closely with Clarion's sustainability team to scope their needs and create a strategy brief. This involved an analysis of the impacts, dependencies, opportunities, and risks. We identified key stakeholder groups and initiated alignment with best practices. At the core of this phase was placing Clarion staff and their communities as the focal point for a collaborative and engaging process.
Building on the strategy brief, our collaboration with Clarion has evolved into supporting the creation of a Nature Recovery Strategy. This phase has involved working alongside other consultants and Clarion's business units while actively engaging their staff, communities, residents, and supporting partners. The strategy has been developed through a series of workshops, the creation of processes and guidance, and the alignment of the entire organisation with the shared vision of nature recovery.
A pivotal aspect of our partnership with Clarion will involve creating design guidance and processes for the retrofit of biodiversity and ecosystem services across their built estates. This required close collaboration with estates teams, contractors, and community teams. Together, we will pilot innovative solutions and designed processes that would infuse biodiversity and ecosystem services into the heart of Clarion's built environment to deliver tangible benefits to people, nature and the planet.
