Supporting others to create and sustain greener environments for people, nature, and our planet.

The Green Partnership Fund is designed to support organisations with delivering tree planting, hedge planting and establishing wildflower meadows. 


It provides materials and advice to help deliver trees, hedges and wildflower meadows within projects aimed at supporting nature, greening spaces and engaging communities.


To qualify, you must be a:

  • Registered social landlord or charity
  • Community group
  • Organisation with a valid community oriented not-for-profit project


You must have a valid project that:

  • Requires more than 10 trees (but no more than 100), and/or a minimum of 25lm of native hedgerow (but no more than 100lm), and/or a minimum of 100m² of wildflower meadow (but no more than 500m²)
  • Is centred around supporting nature and engaging communities
  • Has appropriate long term maintenance provisions in place


If awarded, you will receive:

  • Trees, hedge plants and/or wildflower seeds suitable for the project, focused on native species where possible
  • Stakes, ties, guards and watering kits where required
  • 1hr consultation with our experts to review and advise on your project to help ensure success


Terms:

  • Funds each year are limited.
  • Applications will be assessed individually, with no guarantee of award.
  • Proof of implementation is required within 14 days of implementation, along with annual evidence of survival (for first 5 years). 
  • Failed installations must be replaced at the recipients own cost.

Why are trees, hedges, and wildflowers important?

Trees, hedges and wildflowers are vital for people, nature, and the planet because they improve air quality, support wildlife, sequester carbon, enhance climate resilience, improve amenity value, foster social cohesion, and raises environmental awareness.
